Office Refresh Projects

Environmental Design / Brand Implementation | Spring–Winter 2025 | OpenGov | Boston, MA. Dallas, TX. Dubuque, IA.

The Challenge

After OpenGov’s rebrand, I led the redesign of three office spaces across Boston, Dallas, and Dubuque. The goal was to create modern, welcoming environments that reflected the new brand and made employees feel proud and empowered to work at OpenGov, all without overspending.

I completed all three office refreshes in just 3 months, balancing design quality, stakeholder needs, and budget constraints.

The Process

Lead designer across all three office projects

  1. Designed brand-aligned layouts and visual elements for each space

  2. Considered furniture, color, and spatial flow to create cohesion

  3. Worked closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and approval

  4. Managed timelines and execution to deliver on a tight schedule

The Impact

  1. Brought down design costs in Boston 30k below initial estimated price. Achieved this by hearing stakeholder feedback and making smart design changes that would work, but also make an impact.

  2. Widely praised internally for elevating the employee experience

  3. Helped reinforce company culture and employer brand. (I am proud of this!)

  4. Supports recruitment efforts by creating inspiring, branded environments.

What I learned

This project sharpened my skills in environmental design, stakeholder management, working with external contractors and creative problem-solving under time and budget pressure.
